A
woman's body was recovered from a canal near Delray Beach, and detectives are investigating her death as a
homicide. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) said on Sunday, just
before 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a dead woman floating in a
canal on West Atlantic Ave., near Sims Road. When the body was recovered, it
was taken to the medical examiner's office, and it was determined her cause of
death was a homicide. The sheriff's office said the woman appeared to be 25 to
40 years old, a white or Hispanic woman. She was found wearing a long-sleeved
leopard print shirt and long black pants, her fingernails were painted
highlighter yellow, and her toenails were pink. She had brown hair, was
